Williams Field and Skyline are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Black Hawks will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Coyotes at 12:00 p.m. Williams Field is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Williams Field is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Queen Creek, who was ranked ninth at the time (Williams Field was ranked 24th). The Black Hawks took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Black Hawks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Jaxson Triggs and Asher Landry did some serious damage despite the final result: Triggs went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Landry went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Silas Stephens was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Skyline can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Mesa 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Coyotes have posted since March 17th.

Thor Pelczarski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Vitale, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Williams Field's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Skyline, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Williams Field took their victory against Skyline in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Black Hawks repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
