Soccer Game Preview: Holy Cross vs. Old Forge

The Holy Cross Crusaders will challenge the Old Forge Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Holy Cross will be strutting in after a win while Old Forge will be coming in after a defeat.

Holy Cross gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Elk Lake 2-1. Liam Sullivan had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Holy Cross got from the refs.

Jamie Prislupski was the driving force of Holy Cross' attack as he scored both of Holy Cross' goals, bringing his season total up to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Old Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Mountain View.

Old Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Holy Cross, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
