Softball Recap: Gretna East Griffins vs. Staley Falcons        
        
		
             Gretna East got themselves on the board against Staley on Friday, but Staley never followed suit. They blew past the Staley Falcons 9-0. Considering the Griffins have won seven contests by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Not much got past  Kendall Johnson, who gave up just  two  hits to keep Staley off the board.
 At the plate,  Emerson Husen was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs, and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addi Shannon, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Gretna East has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record  this season. As for Staley,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Gretna East will take on Millard North at 12:45  p.m.  on Friday. Millard North will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Gretna East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Staley, they will host Liberty North  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Liberty North is coming into the  matchup with four straight  victories on the road,  so Staley will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
