Softball Recap: Deerfield Beach Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boyd Anderson last Thursday, Deerfield Beach came back down to earth. The Deerfield Beach Bucks lost 18-2 to the Hollywood Hills Spartans on Monday. The Bucks were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Deerfield Beach's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hollywood Hills, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Deerfield Beach will head out to challenge Everglades at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hollywood Hills, they will host Coral Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Coral Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.57 runs per game on average), something Hollywood Hills will no doubt try to take advantage of.
