Softball Recap: Ocoee Comes Up Short

Ocoee lost against Foundation Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ocoee Knights fell 9-6 to the Foundation Academy Lions.

Kylie Holden was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Zoey Gray, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Holden wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ocoee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.

Ocoee now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Foundation Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocoee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Olympia at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. After both having extra time off, Foundation Academy and Horizon will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
