Basketball Recap: Granger's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Granger had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Riverside Christian Crusaders by a score of 65-53. While the Spartans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Riverside Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Micah Rivera, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Morgan, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Granger pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Riverside Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Granger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-47 loss against La Salle on the 4th. Riverside Christian has also already played their next game, a 72-36 win against Highland on the 4th.
