Football Recap: Riverdale Baptist Takes a Loss

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Riverdale Baptist was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 43-6 loss at the hands of the DeMatha Stags. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Stags are ranked second).

Riverdale Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for DeMatha, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverdale Baptist will take on rival Archbishop Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, DeMatha is set to square off against their familiar foe Our Lady of Good Counsel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
