Baseball Recap: Corbett Has No Trouble Against Banks

Corbett hadn't done well against Banks recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Braves. Considering the Cardinals have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Corbett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Banks, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corbett is set to square off against their familiar foe Westside Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Banks will face off against rival Catlin Gabel at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
