Recap: Ross Little Giants vs. Napoleon Wildcats
The Ross Little Giants's and the Napoleon Wildcats's contest on Tuesday was close at halftime, but the Ross Little Giants turned on the heat in the second half with 37 points. Ross was the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over Napoleon. The victory was just what Ross needed coming off of a 75-33 defeat in their prior match.
Despite the loss, Napoleon saw an underclassman step up: Chloe Cicero scored 19 points along with 4 steals. Cicero scored a full 43.2% of Napoleon's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Makayla Kruse, who scored 9 points.
The win got Ross back to even at 2-2. As for Napoleon, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ross will take on Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Napoleon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowling Green at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bowling Green will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Napoleon is ranked 114th).
