Volleyball Recap: Logan-Rogersville Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Lafayette

Logan-Rogersville faced Lafayette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Millie Bauer paced Logan-Rogersville's offense, picking up nine kills. Bauer got some help from Kamryn Marshall and her 11 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Addy Wiese, who had ten digs and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last nine contests.

This is the second loss in a row for Logan-Rogersville and nudges their season record down to 22-5-1. As for Lafayette, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1.

Logan-Rogersville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Jefferson City on the 11th. As for Lafayette, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Ozark on the 11th.
