Football Game Preview: Alexandria City Titans vs. West Springfield Spartans + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Alpha Jalloh and Scott Lewis are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Alexandria City Titans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the West Springfield Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Alexandria City's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so West Springfield's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Alexandria City took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 14-10 W over Robinson.

Meanwhile, West Springfield had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed past the Lions to the tune of 49-16. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

West Springfield's win came from a few key players Alexandria City will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jevon Austin, who picked up 75 receiving yards and two scores. Samuel Heredia was another key player, picking up 70 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

West Springfield didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fairfax to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The Spartans have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.

Alexandria City's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for West Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
