Volleyball Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss

The Phillips Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Dyett Eagles on Friday and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Phillips sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.

Phillips dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Phillips will challenge rival Christian Fenger Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Dyett is set to face off against their familiar foe Bogan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
