Softball Recap: Roosevelt Has No Trouble Against Edmonds-Woodway

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Roosevelt walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Roosevelt and bumps their season record up to 16-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Coming up, Roosevelt will face off against Stanwood at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Roughriders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Edmonds-Woodway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
