With a playoff win on the line, South Allegheny rose to the challenge on Saturday. They secured a 36-31 W over the Aliquippa Quips. The 36-point effort marked the Gladiators' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

South Allegheny pushed their record up to 23-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Aliquippa, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.

South Allegheny will be up against West Catholic's rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
