Football Recap: Marble Falls Starts Season with Win on the Road

Marble Falls had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Crockett Cougars 48-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Joaquin Aguilar had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 164 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Doak Timmerman was in the mix as well, providing Marble Falls with one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Marble Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Coming up, Marble Falls will challenge Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Crockett, they will take on Canyon Lake at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
