11 must be Lakeside's lucky number: they beat Riverside with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Rams. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Kannon Almond was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyle Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maxx Clancy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lakeside's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
