Nativity BVM extended their losing streak to nine on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-15 in the process. They lost 22-0 to the Williams Valley Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

As for Williams Valley, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-1. Considering they have won 16 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Williams Valley's part, Kamri Koppenhaver was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Koppenhaver has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Williams Valley got a massive performance out of Olivia Hand, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Hand has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cierra Brill, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Nativity BVM is taking a road trip to face off against Allentown Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.1 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Williams Valley, they will take on Minersville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
