Softball Game Preview: Cambridge Bobcats vs. Bellaire Big Reds

The Cambridge Bobcats will head out to challenge the Bellaire Big Reds at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Harrison Central hit Cambridge with a seven-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats fell 12-8 to the Huskies.

Miranda Cole was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Kenworthy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bellaire lost 10-4 to River on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Big Reds have lost by exactly six runs.

Addison Kovach made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bellaire, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Cambridge couldn't quite get it done against Bellaire in their previous meeting on April 2nd as they fell 8-5. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
