Basketball Recap: Holy Names Academy Takes a Loss

Holy Names Academy lost against Garfield back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Holy Names Academy took a blow against the Garfield Bulldogs, falling 78-28. While losing is never fun, Holy Names Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Garfield is ranked 50th).

Holy Names Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Garfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Holy Names Academy will head out to take on Eastside Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Names Academy is facing Eastside Catholic at the right time seeing as Eastside Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Garfield, they will be playing at home against Seattle Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seattle Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Garfield surely won't give up without a fight.
