Basketball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside was the 69-39 winner over Sam Houston when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Southside Sharks took a 56-40 bruising from the Sam Houston Broncos on Friday. The Sharks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Sam Houston, their record now sits at 11-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside will face off against Sulphur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sam Houston, they will square off against Carencro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
