Baseball Recap: Monmouth Academy's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Monmouth Academy fell victim to Cony and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Rams. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Monmouth Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Cony, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Monmouth Academy will head out on the road to challenge Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Cony, they will challenge Lawrence at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 1.6, the Bulldogs 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
