Baseball Game Preview: Andress Eagles vs. Burges Mustangs

The Andress Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Burges Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

El Paso hit Andress with a five-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Burges might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Canutillo who claimed the real prize. The Mustangs came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-3. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Burges saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Victor Aguirre, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Burges' loss dropped their record down to 9-13-2. As for Andress, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Andress might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from Burges in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
