Marion was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Montabella on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Marion has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Montabella, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-16 record.

Coming up, Marion will challenge Forest Area on Friday. Montabella does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
