            Basketball Recap: Dover Dragons vs. Pawling Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They fell  59-49 to the Pawling Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the  56-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in December of 2021.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Caden Green, who  dropped  a triple-double on 12 points, 17  boards,  and ten  steals. The dominant performance gave  Green a new career-high in  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayden Brinson, who  posted seven  points along with 16  rebounds and seven  steals.
 Even though they lost, Dover  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 18  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've managed all season.
Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Pawling,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-2.
 Dover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  71-55  loss against Onteora on the 4th. Pawling has also already played their next  game (against Putnam Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
