Discovery Canyon put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Thomas Jefferson Spartans with a sharp 13-4 victory. Fans of the Thunder have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Andrew Torres looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Ross, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Jake Cody also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Discovery Canyon pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
