The Stevenson Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Watsonville 53-49. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Stevenson of the 52-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nile Glover, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Toole, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Stevenson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Watsonville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
