Basketball Recap: Palmetto Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Palmetto Christian Academy lost against Charleston Math & Science back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Palmetto Christian Academy fell to the Charleston Math & Science Riptide 57-53. While losing is never fun, Palmetto Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Charleston Math & Science is ranked 97th).

Charleston Math & Science's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haasawn Todd, who posted 13 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tristan Jackson, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Palmetto Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Charleston Math & Science, their record is now 11-2.

Palmetto Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Porter-Gaud at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Charleston Math & Science, they will venture away from home to square off against Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Charleston Math & Science is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.
