Baseball Recap: Lakeview Charter Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lakeview Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Fulton Jaguars. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 11-9 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Eric Perez, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jacob Garcia also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The victory got Lakeview Charter back to even at 2-2.

Lakeview Charter has already played their next contest, an 11-6 defeat against East Valley on the 10th. As for Fulton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Triumph Charter on the 7th.
