Soccer Game Preview: Bryan County vs. Metter

Bryan County is 0-10 against Metter since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Redskins will head out to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Bryan County has given up an average of 7.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bryan County's offense. They came up short against Portal on Tuesday, falling 7-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Bryan County haven't been shut out since back in February.

Meanwhile, Metter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Buccaneers a 10-0 shutout. Considering Metter have won four matchups by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Metter now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bryan County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Bryan County suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Metter when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Redskins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
