Basketball Recap: Cumberland Valley Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cumberland Valley Christian can now relate to. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Christian Academy Falcons on Tuesday. The Blazers just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row.

Faith Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Altier out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Altier a new career-high in assists (three). Carter Young was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Cumberland Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Faith Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

When Cumberland Valley Christian and Faith Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cumberland Valley Christian will face off against Frederick W and their three-game winning streak at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy will try to stop Heritage Academy's four-game winning streak when the meet on Friday.
