Basketball Recap: Windsor Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Windsor picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They breezed by the Air Academy Kadets to the tune of 61-19. The Wizards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madden Smiley, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Smiley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of John Backhaus, who posted ten points along with six boards and five steals.

Windsor's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.1 points. As for Air Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Windsor will take on Grandview in a tournament on Thursday. Windsor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. As for Air Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
