Meanwhile, Cushing entered their tilt with Ardmore last Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-43 W against Ardmore.
Elgin better keep an eye on Roman Tucker. He was instrumental in Cushing's win, rushing for 163 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. Those 163 rushing yards gave Tucker a new career-high. Bryce Ward was Tucker's top target, picking up 150 receiving yards and one TD.
Cushing was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
