Football Game Preview: Elgin Owls vs. Cushing Tigers + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Elgin Owls and the Cushing Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Elgin's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Elgin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ada 42-10. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won 11 contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cushing entered their tilt with Ardmore last Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-43 W against Ardmore.

Elgin better keep an eye on Roman Tucker. He was instrumental in Cushing's win, rushing for 163 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. Those 163 rushing yards gave Tucker a new career-high. Bryce Ward was Tucker's top target, picking up 150 receiving yards and one TD.

Cushing was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Cushing's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.
