Baseball Game Preview: Apollo Hawks vs. Dobson Mustangs

The Apollo Hawks will take on the Dobson Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apollo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Dobson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Dobson will be up against a hot Apollo squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Apollo put the hurt on Browne with a sharp 11-1 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Diego Ramos made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
