Baseball Recap: St. Michaels Comes Up Short

After flying high against Easton on Monday, St. Michaels came back down to earth. The Saints fell 5-2 to the St. Mary's Ryken Knights on Saturday. The matchup marked the Saints' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Connor Wheeler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Blake Wheatley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

St. Michaels' defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Mary's Ryken, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.
