Volleyball Recap: Oregon Has No Trouble Against Stoughton

Oregon entered their tilt with Stoughton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Vikings 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Oregon was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-11, 25-22.

Oregon had a senior duo take command as Devin Howard had eight digs and seven aces and Alexis Fields had seven digs and one assist. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Howard.

Oregon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.

Oregon's record is now 18-21. As for Stoughton, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-30.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Oregon and Elkhorn will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Stoughton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Milton at 7:00 p.m.
