Volleyball Game Preview: Northern Durham Knights vs. Jacksonville Cardinals

The Northern Durham Knights will square off against the Jacksonville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Northern Durham didn't have quite enough to beat Riverside-Durham and fell 3-2.

Northern Durham took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 15-4.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against White Oak on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Jacksonville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept White Oak between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Northern Durham has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Jacksonville, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
