Basketball Recap: Jesup Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Jesup had no trouble coming through when it counted. They pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over North Fayette Valley on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the J-Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while North Fayette Valley are ranked 48th).

The victory made it two in a row for Jesup and bumps their season record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for North Fayette Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 23 games and leaves them with a 23-1 record.

As of now, neither Jesup nor North Fayette Valley have any future games scheduled.
