Basketball Game Preview: Leo Lions vs. Bellmont Braves

The Leo Lions will take on the Bellmont Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Leo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Bellmont likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Leo escaped with a win against Fort Wayne North Side by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63.

Meanwhile, Bellmont came up short against Huntington North on Saturday and fell 59-46. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Vikings are ranked 161st).

Leo has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Bellmont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
