Softball Recap: Hodgson Vo-Tech Comes Up Short

Hodgson Vo-Tech had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-4 to make it four. They lost 16-6 to the Brandywine Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Brandywine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

For Brandywine's part, Kaelyn O'Connor was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Abigail McFarland was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coming up, Hodgson Vo-Tech will square off against Archmere Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brandywine, they will face off against Dickinson at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
