Basketball Recap: Lowell Starts off Right with Win over River Forest

Lowell gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They skirted past the River Forest Ingots 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since December 28, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lowell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ezra Rumisek, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Rumisek a new career-high in steals (four). Roan Vasko was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lowell is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Forest, they will head out to face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
