Softball Recap: La Cueva Bears vs. Centennial Hawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but La Cueva had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Centennial Hawks by a score of 10-6. The win was familiar territory for La Cueva who now have 16 in a row.
Liliana Montoya was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Montoya has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
