Softball Recap: Botkins Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Botkins's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Tri-County North Panthers on Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this game were averaging 3.59 runs allowed.

Botkins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddi Frey, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Botkins dropped their record down to 13-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri-County North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Botkins wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Lehman Catholic on the 13th. As for Tri-County North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Fairlawn on the 14th.
