Softball Recap: North Clay Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when North Clay challenged Farina South Central on Monday. The Cardinals came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 18-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

North Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Farina South Central, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

North Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farina South Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grayville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
