Basketball Recap: Latta Wins Going Away Against Atoka

Latta lost to Atoka back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Latta Panthers put the hurt on the Atoka Wampus Cats with a sharp 54-31 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

The victory got Latta back to even at 5-5. As for Atoka, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Latta will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coalgate at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Atoka also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Hartshorne at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
