Basketball Recap: Charlo Wins Going Away Against Valley Christian

On Friday, the Charlo Vikings didn't have too much trouble with the Valley Christian Eagles as they won 58-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Valley Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Johnson, who posted 14 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmandee Coghlan, who scored ten points and seven rebounds.

Charlo pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Valley Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlo will head out to challenge Victor at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Valley Christian, they will challenge Alberton at 4:30 p.m. on February 15th.
