League recap: Canterbury Episcopal's Howard delivers best pitching performance from past week

TAPPS 1A/2A District 2 league recap: 3/20/13

Trevor Howard was the best pitcher in TAPPS 1A/2A District 2 this week, leading Canterbury Episcopal. Over the past week, he racked up one win and 15 strikeouts.

This week saw Lakehill Prep come away with the most league victories in the league, with one. Fairhill vanquished the Falcons 18-3.

The Cougars' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing three hits and six walks to lead the league in both categories.

Canterbury Episcopal's Ian Wright kept his eye on the prize while at bat this week, leading the league with a .750 average (3-for-4). For the season, he's hitting .538, good for second in the league. Wright has accumulated seven base knocks this year so far.



The Cougars' Howard struck out 15 Covenant hitters en route to a 10-5 victory on March 18. Over his six innings pitched he allowed three runs on two hits.
