Bradley-Bourbonnais won the last time they faced Sandburg and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Boilermakers walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Eagles.

Lydia Hammond was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Suttyn Hop, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Tristin Woods was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' win bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Sandburg, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-20.

Bradley-Bourbonnais does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandburg, they will face off against Lincoln-Way West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
