Essex won the last time they faced Rappahannock, and Morgan Self did her part to make sure it happened again. The Essex Trojans blew past the Rappahannock Raiders 46-22 on Thursday thanks in part to Self, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

Essex's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Rappahannock, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Essex has already played their next game (against Northumberland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rappahannock will head out to face off against Mathews at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rappahannock is facing Mathews at the right time seeing as Mathews is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
