Softball Recap: South Central Finds Home Field Redemption Against J.H. Rose

There's no place like home for South Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the J.H. Rose Rampants on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

South Central's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Coward, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another was Kailey Garner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

South Central's record now sits at 8-5. As for J.H. Rose, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Central will square off against rival New Bern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, J.H. Rose is set to challenge their familiar foe Havelock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
