Basketball Recap: Steven Bubon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Howland over South Range

Howland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 52-38 bruising from the South Range Raiders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Howland's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Steven Bubon, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Douglas, who put up ten points.

Howland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for South Range, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Howland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-43 loss against Chaney on the 12th. As for South Range, they will venture away from home to take on Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
